Angelina was
sent to the WWE's developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW)
and started out as a valet, having catfights with some of the girls
there.But soon she began to develop actual wrestling skills and was moved
into real matches there.She is the current Queen of FCW. This is stupid.
Angela Fong, one of the most hyped women from FCW, finally makes her
televised debut. On ECW. As a backstage interviewer. Using the name
Savannah. First problem, did it have to be ECW again? I understand the notion of new stars starting out there before they move to the big leagues, but it is just a waste for many divas. With only one established heel wrestler on the whole show, not much will be done to get the newer divas looking very good and getting over. Smackdown could have gotten Savannah. Start grooming her right, with a title somewhere in the picture. No one will ever accuse the WWE of being racist, but I can figure out why Raw would not be an option for her right now. Second, another backstage interviewer? I already had a bad impression of the one they came out with a few weeks ago. How many women are going to get this same start? This spot is dull and not very necessary for women who belong in actual matches and storylines. The psycho/obsessed fan angle has been done a few times, but at least it is usually reworked with a few changes. Besides that, it is an actual storyline that revolves around matches. Giving a diva a job as an interviewer before working her into angles and matches slowly is sound and makes sense, but when it gets done so many times like the WWE is trying to do, it just leaves me craving something original and entertaining with a diva debut. How long will Angela Fong last? If the WWE had actually brought her in with a better angle, I would have good hopes for her. I am not interested with her very much based on how she is seemingly going to be used for a while. Lena Yada was a backstage interviewer on ECW too. That was about a year ago. She got released. She did not have all the hype Angela Fong has had, but people can make their own connections. |
